RCT is keen to facilitate the work of younger academics who have a strong interest in translation. To that end we offer young visiting scholars free office space and access to the CUHK libraries for research purposes. These visits are normally of two-week duration. RCT assists the scholar with accommodation booking on campus, but the scholar is expected to meet the cost of accommodation him/herself (currently around HK$250/night). In special cases, RCT may offer free accommodation to the visiting scholar, depending on his/her project on hand and the benefits such a visit will bring to the individual and RCT. As the Centre's resources are limited, such arrangements may be done on a competitive basis. |
Anyone interested should apply to RCT BY POST at least four months ahead of the proposed visit. The following information should be included: a simple description of their translation or research project, the exact dates of the visit, a brief C.V. and a publication list. |
