Lin Huiyin 1903-1955
Born in Fujian province. In 1919 she went to Europe with her father and studied briefly at St Mary's College in London. She was also introduced to literary circles, and on her return to China took part in the activities of the Crescent Moon Society. In 1925 she went to the United States to study architecture, together with her husband Liang Sicheng, the son of Liang Qichao. She continued her career in teaching and architecture following the establishment of the PRC in 1949, and also wrote many poems, essays and short stories.
